WB_VGA - Configuration

The WB_VGA component can be configured after placement on the schematic sheet. Simply right-click and choose the Configure command from the pop-up menu that appears. Alternatively, click on the Configure button, available in the Component Properties dialog for the component.

The Wishbone Display Driver Configuration dialog will appear, as shown in Figure 1.

The drop-down field at the top-right of the dialog enables you to choose the type of 32-bit VGA Controller you want to work with (Figure 2).

As you select the Controller type, the Wishbone Display Driver Configuration dialog will change accordingly to list summary configuration information specific to that Controller type. The symbol on the schematic will also change to reflect the pinout for the chosen Controller type.

Use the Orientation field to determine on which side of the component's symbol the Wishbone Master interface is drawn – left or right.

Use the Extra Space field to determine the amount of blank space that is inserted before the bank of pins for the Wishbone Master interface.

Use the Master Address Width field to specify the width of the address bus for the component's master interface.
