Ability to Show Only Latest Component Revisions

Over time, vault-based components may undergo many changes as they evolve, with each change resulting in a new revision to accommodate the massaged data. When browsing components for use in designs, it is typically only the latest revision that is required. All other previous revisions tend to become a level of noise, cluttering the designer's field of view. To alleviate this, Altium Vault 2.1, in conjunction with Altium Designer 15.0, brings the ability to hide this clutter, leaving only the latest revisions 'on show'.

When using 'vault libraries' through the Libraries panel, you have the option of whether to show all Component Item revisions, or only the latest. When browsing through the Vaults panel, this option applies to all Item types.

When Browsing Items in the Vaults Panel

To display only the latest revisions of Items in the Vaults panel, simply click the  control, at the top-right of the Items region of the panel, and enable the Show only latest option, on the associated menu.

This option is a global setting that applies to all Items in the vault, irrespective of type, and the visual folder in which they reside.

Declutter the Vaults panel by showing only the latest revisions of Items.

To get at a previous revision of an Item, simply click on the option again to toggle it OFF.

When Browsing Components in the Libraries Panel

When browsing folders of vault components through the Libraries panel, simply click the  control, at the bottom-right of the component listing for any currently loaded vault library, and enable the Show only latest revisions option, on the associated menu.

This option is initially enabled by default, since it typically makes sense to want to see and use only the latest revisions of component items in designs.
This option is a global setting that applies to all Component Items in all loaded vault libraries.

Declutter the Libraries panel by showing only the latest revisions of vault-based Component Items.
