Improved Rule - Acute Angle

Frozen Content

Summary

The acute angle rule has been significantly improved in the Winter 09 release. Previous versions of this rule performed a simple analysis of track pairs resulting in many false violations being reported whilst also missing common cases caused by non-track primitives. With the exception of regions the new rule analyses the actual copper that will be formed by primitives looking for problem ares. In addition the visual indicators for this rule have been updated, providing clear indication of the problem area.

See the images below for some cases that the improved rule correctly identifies.
