With Service Pack 3, we've introduced the Altium Designer name to represent the single, unified system built on our unique DXP technology integration platform. Your Altium Designer DXP-based license provides access to a targeted set of Altium Designer's full capabilities which integrates board- and FPGA-level system design and verification, embedded software development and PCB layout, editing and manufacturing technologies for complete electronic product development.
So the software you know and love is still the software that you will be using - just now enhanced with Service Pack 3 with over 200 new features and enhancements that will save you time and improve your work flows.
Highlights include:
- New Smart PDF Wizard allows you to generate Smart PDF (Adobe® Portable Document Format) documents for design projects for viewing on any PC platform that supports Adobe® Reader®. These documents contain a sophisticated view of the design including PCB and schematic documents and include sorted tables of components and nets that can be used to navigate to objects in the schematic sheets or on the PCB.
- Support for the Xilinx® Virtex™-4 family of high-performance FPGA devices
- Support for the Altera® Stratix® II family of high-performance FPGA devices
- Support for new Altera® Stratix® industrial devices which include EP1S40F1508, EP1S40F780, EP1S60B956, EP1S60F1508, EP1S80F1020 and EP1S80F1508
- Upgraded version control support with the addition of native support for Subversion, the next-generation open-source version control system
- Support for Xilinx® ISE WebPACK 7.1
- Support for Actel® Designer Platinum 6.1 and Libero IDE Platinum 6.1
