Options/Controls

 Transparency

  • Transparent floating windows- Enable this option to automatically to make the toolbars and other dialogs over the editor workspace transparent when an interactive process is invoked. For example you might want to place a pad object on a PCB document and the Filer panel is in the way. If this option is enabled the panel is made transparent.

Disable this option and the toolbars or panels re not made transparent when an interactive process is invoked.

  • Dynamic transparency - Enable this option to have dynamic transparency for floating windows (dialogs and panels). Everytime the cursor is moved towards the dynamic transparent dialog, this dialog becomes transparent. The distance between the cursor and the dialog where the transparency kicks in is determined by the distance factor and whether the dialog fades in or out depending on the highest and lowest transparency setting.

  • Highest transparency - Move the Highest transparency slider to the right for maximum transparency whenever a cursor approaches the floating window, and the distance between the cursor and the window is determined by the distance factor bar.

Use the lowest transparency bar in conjunction with this bar to control how floating windows disappear/appear when a cursor is moved towards or away from this window.

For example both bars to the right means the floating window becomes completely transparent when an interactive process is in way, or when both bars to the left means the floating window stays non-transparent.

  • Lowest transparency - Move the Low transparency slider to the right for minimum transparency whenever a cursor is moved away from the floating window, and the distance between the cursor and the window is determined by the distance factor bar.

Use the highest transparency bar in conjunction with this bar to control how floating windows appear/disappear when a cursor is moved away or towards this window.

For example both bars to the right means the floating window becomes completely transparent when an interactive process is in way, or when both bars to the left means the floating window stays non-transparent.

  • Distance factor - Move this Distance factor slider to the left to set the minimal distance between the cursor and the window (dialog/panel) for the window's transparency to kick in, or to the right for a maximal distance between the cursor and the floating window.
