The Folder Structure Settings Dialog.

Summary

The Folder Structure Settings dialog allows the designer to manage and configure the properties of the generated files.

Access

Right-click on a Folder Structure output container in an Outjob file, then choose Properties to access this dialog.

Options/Controls

Output Management

The designer can setup output location in this area.

Click Release Managed to specify folder location in the pop-up dialog.

Release Managed - If this option is enabled, the file is available to PCB release system.
Manually Managed - If this option is enabled, the file is set to be manually managed in local folder.
File Location Field - This field is activated in Manually Managed mode, click File Icon to browse a target folder.
Use relative path - This option is activated in Manually Managed mode, enable this option to use relative path in File Location field.
Done - Click to complete configuration.

Click New Folder Structure to configure container folder for the PDF in the pop-up dialog.

Do not include any container folder - Enable this option to discard container folder.
[Container Name] - Enable this option to use container name as container folder name of the file.
[Container Type] - Enable this option to use container name as container folder name of the file.
Custom Folder Name - Enable this option to customize folder name by the designer. The drop-down list will be activated, the designer can choose a string from drop-down list or enter a folder name directly.
Done - Click to complete configuration.

Click Output Type to configure output folder.

Do not include any output folder - Enable this option to discard output folder.
Output Name - Enable this option to use output name as output folder name of the file
Output Type - Enable this option to use output type as container folder name of the file.
Custom prefix - Enable this option to specify a prefix for the output folder name.
Custom Folder Name - Enable this option to customize output folder name by the designer. The drop-down list will be activated, the designer can choose a string from drop-down list or enter a folder name directly.
Done - Click to complete configuration.

Click Output Name to configure output file name.

The designer can Use standard output file name, or Use cusom output file name.

Done - Click to complete configuration.

Preview - Show the preview of the PDF location.

Output Options

Open generated outputs - Enable the option to open your outputs in a text editor for example after generation.
Add generated files to project - Enable this option to add the generated files to your project. They will appear in the Projects panel under the Generated sub-folder.
Use the Output Name as the file name instead of the default - Enable this option to use details in the Name field in your OutJob file. You can specify a folder, filename and file extension in the format FOLDER\FILENAME.extension. This gives you greater control over the filename, file extension and location of your generated files.
Timestamp folder - Enable this option to create a Timestamp folder. The folder name is in the format Folder Name Date Time where the Folder Name is specified in the Output Folder field, Date and Time is in the same format as your System settings.

CAMtastic Auto-Load Options

The designer can check the options in order to auto-load related outputs in CAMtastic, including ODB++ Output, NC Drill Output, Gerber Output, IPC-356-D Output. The enabled output types will be autoloaded into a new CAMtastic document whenever a batch generation is performed. Check Reset auto-load option after generation to reset auto-load options after generation.
