The Aperture Dialog.

Summary

The Aperture dialog allows the designer to enable/setup the required aperture information for the design.

Access

In Apertures tab of the Gerber Setup dialog, disable Embedded Apertures (RS274X) option, click New button under Apertures list, then click OK in the DCode dialog to access the dialog.

Options/Controls

  • X Size - Specify X size for aperture.
  • Y Size - Specify Y size for aperture.
  • Corner Radius - Specify the corner radius of the aperture, this option is only available for Rounded Rectangle aperture shape.
  • Hole Size - Specify hole size for the aperture.
  • Shape - Specify the shape for aperture, options include: Rounded, Rectangle, Octagonal, Rounded Rectangle,Relief.
  • Use For - Specify the purpose of the aperture: Anything, Drawing, Flashing.
  • Rotation - Specify the rotation angle of the aperture.
  • X Offset - Specify Offset in X direction.
  • Y Offset - Specify Offset in Y direction.
  • Relief Width - Specify the width of relief connection. 
  • Relief Gap - Specify the width of each air gap in the relief connection. 
  • Hole Type - Choose a hole type from drop-down list.
  • Relief Entries - Choose 2 or 4 relief entries to be applied to the aperture.
  • Help - Click to get help information.
