Compile Focused Document

Summary

This command is used to compile (analyze) the focused document. First, ensure that the document you wish to compile is the focused document in the Projects panel.

After launching the command, the focused document will be compiled. For a source document (schematic, VHDL), any electrical and drafting violations that are detected by the Compiler will be listed as warnings and/or errors in the Messages panel.

Availability

In Project panel, right click the mouse over the document name and run command Compile xxx,here xxx is the focused document name with suffix.

Notes

Focus a document in the Projects panel simply by clicking on its entry.

The Compiler uses the options set up in the Error Reporting and Connection Matrix tabs of the Options for Project dialog, when checking the source document for violations.

Use the Navigator panel to peruse the compiled document. For source documents (schematic, VHDL) you can also use the Browser panel to look at connectivity between objects in the document.
