Summary
This dialog allows the designer to specify Net Label properties in Schematic Editor.
Access
During placement, the dialog can be accessed by pressing the Tab key.
After placement, the dialog can be accessed in the following ways:
- Double-clicking on the placed object.
- Placing the cursor over the object, right-clicking and choosing Properties from the context menu.
Options/Controls
- Color - Click the color sample to change the color of the Net Label text.
- Orientation - Select an option from the drop-down list to set the orientation of the Net Label text. You can choose from 0, 90, 180 or 270 degrees rotation from the horizontal.
- X Location - The field shows the current X coordinate of the net label. Edit the X value in the field to change the position of the object directly.
- Y Location - The field shows the current Y coordinate of the net label. Edit the Y value in the field to change the position of the object directly.
Properties
- Net - This field shows the name of the net associated with the net label. Placing a net label onto an electrical object assigns that object to the net given by the net name.
- Font - Click to open Font dialog, in which to change the font and font attributes of the Net Label text.
- Locked - If this option is checked, the netlabel is protected from being edited graphically. Lock a netlabel whose position or size is critical. If you try to edit a design object that is locked, you will be informed that this object is locked and asked if you wish to proceed with the action. If this option is unchecked, the design object can be freely edited without confirmation.
