Filter Select

Summary

This command is used to apply a filter to the current document, using either a directly typed query or one that exists in the query History list.

Availability

Right click at the SCH Editor, move cursor to popup menu Filter » Filter For:, type the query or select one from the history list if available by click the pull-down pointer.

Details

Simply enter the query for the filter you wish to apply, or choose an existing filter query from the drop-down. The drop-down list contains all filter queries that currently exist in the query History list - accessed through the List panel. After entering/choosing a filter, it will be applied to the design and all design objects that fall under the scope of the filter will remain fully visible, with all other design objects becoming dimmed.

Notes

Use the Query Helper dialog - accessed by clicking the Helper button on the List panel - to aid you in defining queries for use with the filtering feature.
