Configure Swapping Information in Components

Summary

The designer can configure and view pin swapping information in components in this dialog.

Access

• In PCB Editor, right-click over board, away from any component, and choose Component Actions >> Configure Pin/Part Swapping to access this dialog. Or,
• Run command Tools >> Pin/Part Swapping >> Configure.

Options/Controls

• Grid Main - This is a list of components with pin and/or part group values if any for swapping. Swapping information is stored in the schematic component's pins but enabling pin or part swapping on a specific component is stored in the PCB component.

  The Configure in Schematic and Enable in PCB columns are editable, double click one of the fields to setup swap group values or right hand click on one of these fields to toggle swap-ability or configure pin swapping for the highlighted component.

  Enable the Only Show Components with Swap Information option below to only show the swap-able components.
  Highlight a component before clicking the Configure Component button to set up pin swapping information.

• Configure Component - Click this button to invoke the Configure Pin Swapping dialog for the highlighted component where you can set up the Pin Group, Part Group and Part-Sequence fields under the Swap Control Fields columns.
• Only Show Components with Swap Information - Enable this option to display components with swap-able pins (that is those that have pin swap data or part swap data).
