The Track Dialog.

Summary

The Track dialog allows the designer to modify the location of the track, modify the track width. Track properties can also be edited here including changing the layer and associating a specific net to the track. Solder Mask Expansion and Paste Mask Expansion can also be added if necessary.

Access

The Track dialog can be accessed prior to entering placement mode, from the PCB Editor - Defaults page of the Preferences dialog (DXP >> Preferences). This allows you to change the default properties for the track object, which will be applied when placing subsequent tracks.

During placement, the Track dialog can be accessed by pressing the TAB key.

After placement, the Track dialog can be accessed in the following ways:

  • Double-clicking on the placed track object
  • Right-clicking the track object and selecting Properties from the pop-up menu.
  • Run command Edit >> Change, then click an existing object.

Options/Controls

  • Start X/Y - Define X/Y coordinate for the start point of the track.
