Summary

This command is used to move the current document further from you (zoom out), relative to the cursor position. Launch the command to zoom out from a particular section of the design. Use the command repeatedly to zoom out further.

Availability

In PCB Editor, run command View » Zoom Out [PgDn].

Notes

As this command is relative to the cursor position, it is a good idea to position the cursor in the desired location, prior to launching the command (using the keyboard).

This command can be used, through its respective keyboard shortcut, even while another process is running, for example during placement mode.

To zoom out by smaller increments, hold the SHIFT key while pressing PAGE DOWN.

You can use the mouse to zoom in/out of a region of the PCB using the following methods:

1. CTRL+ Mouse-wheel (middle mouse button) to zoom in/out.

2. CTRL+ Right-click and drag to zoom in/out.

You can also zoom in or out while placing a design object on the PCB interactively, eg. when you are placing a footprint.
