Summary

This command is used to redefine the display area about a specified point in the current document.

After launching the command, the cursor will change to a crosshair and you will be prompted to select the center point of the zoom window. Position the cursor and click to anchor this center point. You will then be prompted to select the corner of the zoom window. Move the cursor to size the zoom area and click to anchor the corner. The display will change, with the defined area zoomed and centered in the main design window, around the specified center point.

Availability

In PCB Editor, run command View » Around Point.

Notes

You can use the mouse to zoom in/out of a region of the PCB using the following methods:

1. CTRL+ Mouse-wheel (middle mouse button) to zoom in/out.

2. CTRL+ Right-click and drag to zoom in/out.

You can also zoom in or out while placing a design object on the PCB interactively, eg. when you are placing a footprint.
