Summary

This feature is used to bring the design closer to you, relative to the cursor position, in the current document. Use the feature to zoom in on a particular section of the design and use this feature repeatedly to zoom in to a greater extent and in progressively smaller steps.

Availability

In PCB Editor, press shortcut Shift+PgDn.

Notes

As this command is relative to the cursor position, it is a good idea to position the cursor in the desired location, prior to launching the command (using the keyboard).

This command can be used even while another process is running, for example during placement mode.

You can use the mouse to zoom in/out of a region of the PCB using the following methods:

1. CTRL+ Mouse-wheel (middle mouse button) to zoom in/out.

2. CTRL+ Right-click and drag to zoom in/out.

You can also zoom in or out while placing a design object on the PCB interactively, eg. when you are placing a footprint.
