Set Component Reference Pin 1
Parent process: PCB:SetComponentReference
Applied parameters: Location=Pin1
Summary
This command is used to set the component reference point to be pin 1 of the component footprint.
First, the reference point set to the component is selected in the Components list in the PCB Library panel (which is the active component footprint).
After launching the command, the reference point will be set to pin 1 of the footprint and this point will be set to 0,0 - ie. it becomes the new relative origin and all primitives will have their locations updated relative to this point.
Availability
In PCB Library Editor, run command Edit » Set Reference » Pin 1.
Notes
This reference point is actually the relative origin for the workspace and is the point by which the component footprint is picked-up by the cursor in place and move operations.
