Parent process: PCB:ManualRoute

Applied parameters: mode=SMART|TARGET=DIFF_PAIR

IMPORTANT NOTE: This is a Legacy Command, it has been replaced by the Place » Interactive Differential Pair Routing command.

Summary

This command is used to route a differential pair placing track objects onto the current document. Differential pairs are routed as a pair - that is you route two nets simultaneously.

This command starts the intelligent interactive differential pair routing mode. So as you manually route, the Smart Route attempts to completely route the chosen connections along the shortest path, using horizontal, vertical and diagonal segments, while automatically walking aroundany obstacle along the path. Smart Route will automatically complete the entire connection if both the start and end nodes are on the same layer, while maintaining any applicable design rules.

When the command is launched, you will be prompted to choose the first differential pair object to route.

Note: You can interrogate the differential pairs using the PCB panel set to Differential Pairs Editor mode.
