Summary

This command is used to create a design snippet from the currently selected circuitry from a single schematic sheet, or any selection of a PCB design, including the components and routing.

Snippets are availble through the Snippets panel and are reusable. Snippets can be saved and organized in standard Windows folders through the Add New Snippet dialog.

To place a snippet onto your design, select it from the Snippets panel and press the Place Snippet of... button - the snippet will then attach to the cursor, click to place it in the design workspace.

Notes

A union is automatically created for the objects in a design snippet. The union allows you to work on a section of your design at the same time. Eg. click and hold the mouse over a union, to allow you to move the union together.
