Enhanced Indication of Disabled PCB Design Rules

In the rules-driven environment of Altium Designer's PCB Editor, it is not uncommon to build up a rather impressive and comprehensive array of rules with which to successfully constrain your boards. For whatever reason along the way, some rules may become disabled - perhaps not applicable to the board in question, or perhaps temporarily disabled to ease the load on the Design Rule Checker (and speeding its performance as a result!). And while the detailed listing of defined rules for a selected category or type does include the Enabled property, one can easily lose track of what is and isn't enabled when quickly skimming a list.

Altium Designer 14.2 brings a visual tweak to the display of rules that have been disabled. Such rules now appear in these lists with a 'greyed-out' appearance.

With their new 'greyed' appearance, you can quickly see which of your design rules are currently disabled when browsing the listings for rule categories and types in the PCB Rules and Constraints Editor dialog.
