NanoBoard 3000 - Diagnostics Interface
Frozen Content
To facilitate board testing using automated test equipment, the NanoBoard 3000 provides a diagnostics ATE interface, courtesy of a PCI Express (PCIe) edge connector.
The connector provides an SPI link to the board's Host Controller FPGA (NanoTalk Controller), as well an interface to the following board resources:
- Board ID (1-Wire) memory device
- Host JTAG (Hard and Soft JTAG chains)
- Video output
- User I/O
- ADC
- DAC
- Audio System
- SPDIF
- MIDI
- Power PWM drivers
- RS-232
- RS-485
- PS/2 Keyboard
- PS/2 Mouse
Power (5V) and ground lines are also fed to the connector.
The interface – and the I/O signals it conveys – is reserved. It is used during board manufacture and is therefore not for general use.
Location on Board
The connector, labeled 'ATE'
(and designated J33
) is located on the left-hand edge of the board.
Schematic Reference
The ATE connector can be found on Sheet 24 (CON_NB3000_ATE_INTF.SchDoc
, entitled ATE Interface Connector) of the motherboard schematics.
