NanoBoard 3000 - Diagnostics Interface

Frozen Content

To facilitate board testing using automated test equipment, the NanoBoard 3000 provides a diagnostics ATE interface, courtesy of a PCI Express (PCIe) edge connector.

access by external automated
test equipment.

The connector provides an SPI link to the board's Host Controller FPGA (NanoTalk Controller), as well an interface to the following board resources:

  • Board ID (1-Wire) memory device
  • Host JTAG (Hard and Soft JTAG chains)
  • Video output
  • User I/O
  • ADC
  • DAC
  • Audio System
  • SPDIF
  • MIDI
  • Power PWM drivers
  • RS-232
  • RS-485
  • PS/2 Keyboard
  • PS/2 Mouse

Power (5V) and ground lines are also fed to the connector.

The interface – and the I/O signals it conveys – is reserved. It is used during board manufacture and is therefore not for general use.

Location on Board

The connector, labeled 'ATE' (and designated J33) is located on the left-hand edge of the board.

Schematic Reference

The ATE connector can be found on Sheet 24 (CON_NB3000_ATE_INTF.SchDoc, entitled ATE Interface Connector) of the motherboard schematics.
