Altium's NanoBoard architecture is unique in that target programmable devices are housed on separate satellite boards, referred to as daughter boards. These boards plug-in to the NanoBoard. By keeping each programmable device on its own daughter board, engineers can easily change the target project architecture, while retaining a truly FPGA vendor-independent development board.

Daughter Board Basics

Available Daughter Boards

A range of 3-connector daughter boards are available for use with the Desktop NanoBoard and additional boards continue to be developed to enhance this range even further. The following is a listing of the currently available daughter boards, grouped by vendor of the physical FPGA device provided.

All daughter boards available from Altium may be plugged into either the Desktop NanoBoard NB2DSK01 or the NanoBoard-NB1.
