The Printer Properties Dialog.

Summary

The Printer Configuration for dialog enables you to define what is printed and to which printing device it is sent.

Use the dialog to select which printing device you wish to send your printouts to. Only those devices that you have currently installed to your computer will be listed in the drop-down list.

Access

The Printer Configuration for dialog is accessed by clicking Printer Setup button in Composite Properties or Schematic Print Properties dialog (File » Page Setup).

Options/Controls

Printer

  • Name -  Click a printer in the Name field. The information that appears below the Name field applies to the selected printer. The printer you click is the default printer for the rest of the current project session, or until you change it.
  • Properties - Click the button to display the printer driver dialog for this printer. From this dialog you can define the paper source, layout and gain access to advanced property settings for the printer.
  • Retrieve Defaults - Click to retrieve the settings from the current printer driver installed on your computer.
  • Set Defaults - Click this button to set the default settings for the current printer driver.

Print Range

  • All Pages -  Enable this option to print the entire documents of the project.
  • Current Page - Enable this option to print the current page of the document.
  • Range - Prints the pages depending on what you have defined in the From: and To: ranges.
  • From - Enter the starting page for the range of pages you want to print.
  • To -  Enter the final page for the range of pages you want to print.

Print What

  • Print What - Click on the type of printing option as follows:
    • Print All Valid Documents - Print all documents defined from the current Design Project.
    • Print Active Document - Print the currently active document.
    • Print Selection - Print the selected objects of the current document.
    • Print Screen Region - Fit the current screen region onto the page. Note that any spare space on the page will be filled as well.

Copies

  • Number of copies - Enter the number of copies you want to print.
  • Collate - Print the copies of the document in proper binding order.

Printer Options

  • Print Job Options - The option selected determines how the output is sent to the Windows Print Queue as a single printer job or as multiple printer jobs.
