Options/Controls

Grid Options

  • Display Grid - Enable this option to display the dotted grid of the script form. This is useful when you need to accurately place your components from the Tool Palette on the form. You can use the Grid Size to change the distance between dots of the grid. This option is enabled by default.
  • Snap To Grid - Enable this option so when you place a component on the form, the reference point of this component is attached to the nearest grid point. This aids the placement of components on a script form. Disable this option so you can place a component anywhere on the form.
  • Grid Size X - Enter a value in pixels to change the grid size horizontally. The default is 8 pixels.
  • Grid Size Y - Enter a value in pixels to change the grid size vertically. The default is 8 pixels.

Options

  • Show Component Caption - Enable this option so components from the Dialogs category on the Tool Palette panel as well as the Timer, ImageList, PopUpMenu, ActionList, MainMenu components will have their component captions displayed when they are placed on a script form. For example, a form with a TPopupMenu and the TActionList components will have Popupmenu1 and ActionList1 captions displayed on this form. Disable this option and no captions are displayed for such components.
  • Show Designer Hints - Enable this option so that when you drag a component on the script form, the reference point of the component being dragged is displayed in a hint window with the X,Y coordinates (in pixels relative to the top left of the script form).
