Altium Designer 14.3 sees the Suppliers - used as part of design data management to access and integrate supply chain intelligence - taken out as individual, predefined Software Extensions. In addition, two new Suppliers join the fold - RS Components, a trading brand of Electrocomponents plc, and Future Electronics.

Each Supplier is now a dedicated Software Extension in its own right. The addition of RS Components and Future Electronics gives you even greater flexibility when sourcing real-world parts to be used for your designs.

For each installed Supplier extension, its associated installation files are stored in a dedicated folder, named after that extension. Extension folders can be found along the following path: \ProgramData\Altium\Altium Designer <GUID>\Extensions.

With their corresponding extensions installed, Suppliers will be presented in their usual residence, in the Available Suppliers region, on the Data Management - Suppliers page of the Preferences dialog.

Suppliers are available provided their corresponding extensions have been downloaded and installed into your instance of Altium Designer.
